Patrick joined Kretsch Law in February 2026 after working 24 years at his prior law firm, civil litigation firm Lind Jensen Sullivan & Peterson, P.A. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Patrick made the move to Kretsch Law so that he could provide more first hand and direct client service and focus more on his client’s matters.

Patrick focuses nearly 100% of his practice on civil litigation—handling, resolving, and obtaining successful outcomes for his clients through civil litigation on a variety of subject matters. Patrick’s vast and versatile experience includes handling litigation disputes involving commercial, contract, construction defect, employment law, automobile, trucking, products liability, premises liability, landowner disputes, general casualty losses resulting in personal injury or property damage, and social host and dram shop liability matters. Patrick’s practice also includes the thorough analysis of insurance coverage on behalf of both insureds and insurers.

Patrick’s goal when collaborating with clients is to provide them with an honest assessment of their situation and to provide efficient and practical options for a resolution of a client’s legal matter, whether the matter is large or small.

Patrick has been selected as a Super Lawyer by his peers for 13 consecutive years since 2014. Patrick was also recognized as a Rising Star from 2003 through 2012.

Patrick has served for many years as a Minnesota No-Fault Arbitrator through the American Arbitration Association. He also recently was named as a Conciliation Court Referee in McLeod, Sibley, and Le Suer Counties in Minnesota’s First Judicial District. He also served as a high school mock trial coach for two years at Lakeville North High School, and he still volunteers as a judge for Minnesota’s high school mock trial program.

Patrick has extraordinary experience representing his clients at all stages of litigation, from carefully drafting initial pleadings, deftly conducting efficient yet purposeful written discovery and discovery depositions, persuasively writing and arguing motions of all types, skillfully negotiating compromised settlements at mediations, and precisely presenting his client’s case at both arbitrations and trial. Patrick has successfully tried several cases for his clients before juries, including complex, multi-party trials.

Patrick was born and raised in Hibbing, Minnesota, and he welcomes any opportunity to apply his well-reasoned and well-grounded Iron Range roots to his work.

When not working, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also is a devoted and spirited Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan, despite their constant struggles to be a legitimate contender.

With his move to Kretsch Law, Patrick is aiming to become more engaged with volunteer opportunities in the surrounding community, and he desires to become more active with pro bono legal service.
